SYNOPSIS
Opened in 2015 in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District, the Whitney Museum embodies the energy and complexity of New York City. The building unfolds as a composition of staggered volumes connected by terraces and walkways, offering views over the High Line and the Hudson River. Its design blends museum functionality with urban openness, providing flexible, light-filled spaces where modern and contemporary American art engages directly with the surrounding city.
