SYNOPSIS
Inaugurated in 1994, the Kansai Terminal is one of Renzo Piano’s most iconic works. Built on an artificial island in Osaka Bay, it features a 1.7-kilometer-long undulating roof inspired by the flow of air and light. The terminal stands as a masterpiece of engineering and design, conceived to optimize passenger circulation and natural ventilation while embodying elegance, efficiency, and structural lightness.
