SYNOPSIS
Gae Aulenti’s words, drawn from various interviews conducted throughout her career, guide viewers on a journey through her Milanese archive-home. The narrative highlights her many design and architectural projects, contributions to the world of theater, and connections to diverse cultural spheres. Private images and videos, preserved in the archive, help paint an intimate and original portrait of architect Gae Aulenti—fondly remembered by many as simply “la Gae.”
The film was created for an architecture evening dedicated to commemorating Gae Aulenti, born Gaetana Emilia Aulenti (Palazzolo dello Stella, 1927 – Milan, 2012), on the 10th anniversary of her passing. The event was promoted by the Foundation of the Association of Architects of Milan.
