SYNOPSIS
Graduated in architecture, Basilico was one of the most important and acclaimed masters of contemporary European architecture and urban landscape photography. His photography has narrated, with refined rigor, urbanized landscapes all over the world, capturing the heart of cities and their transformations.

“I’m not interested in the city as a sequence of beautiful architecture. Instead, I am interested in the city as a phenomenon. Since my work on factories I have always been attracted by that fabric of the city that architectural culture considers mediocre, absolutely devoid of interest, that no one wants to see and which is instead the strong structure of the city”.
